Motion Graphics
Kinetic Typography: Pain/Happiness
Artist Statement: A simplistic motion graphics demo that uses typeface to express a simple life philosophy- Pain is essential for us to lead better, happier, more fulfilling lives
The types are meant to simultaneously convey beauty and discomfort. Minimal distortions and a general lack of balance define this work.
Hand Drawn Animation
Artist Statement: A project undertaken as the Iranian Revolution for women's and people's liberation was ongoing. It is are reflective piece about freedom and choice. The choice to draw by hand was to connect to it intimately. The ideas of freedom and agency are questioned here. Iran was just like many other countries in the world before the Revolution happened. To those who believe this is not a global problem, is it too difficult to imagine that it could happen to anyone? Even you?

Typography for Posters
Artist Statement: This project was in response to people saying "I don't see color" as a way to indicate their mission for racial equality. But as a proponent of equity, I believe it is essential see race and the societal and systemic differences that play out as a result of it.

Artist Statement: This photoshoot took place in 2021, soon after the movie Disenchanted was announced. Taking inspiration from its predecessor, I imagined how it would be living as a princess in a big city where carriages become subways, and the cursed apple is forever in our hands....
The Love and Labor of Looking Great
Artist Statement: What does it mean to dress up and get ready? Getting ready for most people is a deeply personal yet frankly tedious process. Through color contrast, saturation and angles, I brought out all the drama in this relatively mundane activity. It is fun and we love it, but there is a level of labor to it.
